Banksia Mouse by Linda Weil

Features

ARTIST NOTES: I enjoy drawing Banksia Cones - and sometimes, they naturally form the shapes of animals or various critters. This particular cone was
so much like a mouse that it just cried out to be drawn. Created using Derwent Graphitint colour pencils and Derwent Sketch and Wash Graphite 4B pencil with detail overlay in Graphite/carbon pencil.

Artist Statement: ‘Drawing, for me, is a constant joy and passion – I love to draw. A simple line can express so much. When I draw, I get engrossed in detail and subject matter. I love allowing a drawing to break out of its’ boundaries and create drawings within drawings – big concepts within small areas – encouraging the viewer see past the obvious and notice the hidden thought.
