Biography
Paulina Campos
I was born in Valparaiso, Chile where I trained as a Graphic Artist. Throughout my teenage years and at University, I always painted and took part in group shows. In 1989, I migrated to Australia to start a new life, during the early years of my Australian life I pained and worked from my home base studio. In 2011, I completed a Masters of Visual Art at the Victorian College of the Arts/ Melbourne University. Since then I have been showing my work consistently and in 2013 I took part in a group shows in Vancouver and Boston in addition to one in Melbourne. The ability to engage at a global scale is essential to the way I work, think, create my images and prepare pre presswork for wherever the work is going to be shown. My aim is that my work reflects the global world in which I live; a world where geographical boundaries can be obliterated by using the Internet, where the multiple and immediate is part of normal daily activities and expectations.
